about
swedish-danish composer mons niklas schak (b.1974) based in copenhagen/denmark
for the past 28 years, music, sound and composition have been my main expression forms. I combine sound, film, animation, sound installation, music and whatever feels right.
I have had several releases using "man eat fish" as a synonym. "man eat fish" combines visual music, acousmatic music, electroacoustics, orchestral music and psychoacoustics focusing on duality and nature and how nature can transform solid things into air.
as a film composer using “greatmusic” as a synonym, as well as my personal name, I have made more than 60 scores for film, theater, documentaries and modern ballets.
since 2006, I have composed five modern ballets together with composer tin soheili and choreographer pernille garde.

I was educated at the danish national academy of music with a master in film composition. my classical training includes piano, guitar, composition and counterpoint as well as electronic music studies.
I am a mentor and lecturer in composition and music production and have been for the past 17 years – at artlab and the rhythmic music conservatory in denmark.
